THE FAMOUS MARQUIS

The Capitol Civic Centre is the performing arts theatre for Manitowoc. It is also the home of the Symphony Orchestra, and Manitowoc is the smallest city in America with its own symphony. The director is Gian Paul Morelli who is the driving force behind the productions and shows. Their short term goal is to be able to show classic and foreign films as part of their regular season which runs between September and May. The long term goal is to enlarge the stage and backstage areas. This could also lead to making the old pipe organ chambers larger to enable installation of another organ. We hope to partner with them to be able to use our Rodgers organ in the near future and do a series of silent movie classics.
