Winter / Spring 2008

Saturday March 15, 2008  Speedy starring Harold Lloyd, Frank Rippl Organist 1pm at the National Railroad Museum

 

June 9th Monday at 6:30pm, a special Silent Movie event at the History Museum in Appleton WI.  Broken Blossoms starring Lilian Gish.  Frank Rippl will perform on the Austin Pipe Organ 

 

See Frank Ripple perform The Rink at The Meyer Theatre Wurlitzer on April 20th as part of the Community Band Series.  Sunday 3pm

Summer/Fall 2007

August 25th, Saturday, 1pm. Special presentation of THE GENERAL starring Buster Keaton. Hosted by The National Railroad Museum in Green Bay. Frank Rippl will play the virtual Wurlitzer in the theater at the museum. Sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio. Tickets are $8.00 or $5.00 with paid museum admission,  available by calling the museum gift shop at 920-437-7623

 

In the works, a radio variety show "The Wurlitzer Hour" with music and comedy skits recorded live before an audience to be broadcast on WPR. Dates, place and time TBA. Looking for volunteers to work the program, submit comedy skits, organist, musical acts. Contact Tom at pcc28@netnet.net 

 

A Wurlitzer Weekend:

October 27th Saturday at 1pm, Matthew Bason will play the Gary Bieck Wurlitzer organ at Gary's home in Elkhart Lake WI.  Free admission, bring a dish to pass for this social event.

October 28th Sunday at 2pm, Matthew Bason will perform on the Fred Hermes 5 manual Wurlitzer located in the basement theatre of Fred's home in Racine WI. Free Admission, bring a dish to pass

October 29th Monday at 7pm, Nosferatu with live organ accompaniment by Frank Rippl. The History Museum, Appleton WI, call 920-735-9370 ask for Lee to reserve tickets $7.00
